• Owned the technology roadmap. Grew into the de facto head of technology for the group. Met department leaders across accounting, operations, and the field, turned recurring pain points into a prioritized plan, then sequenced it against budget and risk. Ran the work through 1 direct report and roughly 10 contractors alongside vendor resources.
• Primary liaison to the vendor stack. Directed partner engineers and customer success teams at Hensen Group, Cisco, Netskope, Abnormal Security, Arctic Wolf, and Deltek: scoped the work, set delivery expectations, held each one accountable. Owned selection, licensing, and renewals.
• Built and ran the security, compliance, and business-continuity program. Engaged an outside firm for security audit and advisory. Contracted Arctic Wolf for monitoring and routine red-team exercises. Kept Veeam backup and disaster-recovery coverage current across all seven entities.
• Wrote the policies, standards, and runbooks. Documented the environment and its controls so it stayed auditable as it grew.
• Modernized identity, access, and endpoint management. Migrated legacy on-premises infrastructure to Entra ID, Intune, and Defender with MFA/SSO and data governance. Each rollout landed in three to six months.
• Turned business needs into working software. Gathered requirements from accounting, operations, and bidding. Worked with vendor engineers to learn each platform's API and data contracts, then wrote the integrations. Automated shop operations against the CollectiveData API. Built ingestion and extraction against Deltek ERP specs, tying field budgeting and operations to accounting in the office.
• Automated the support function. A PowerShell and Python suite ran user provisioning, hardware lifecycle, and data lifecycle management. It auto-triaged most of a 20-ticket-a-day queue, absorbing seven entities' load without added headcount.
• Reported technology performance to the executive team. Tracked ticket volume, endpoint coverage, and rollout status. Brought risks and recommendations on a standing cadence, before they became incidents.
